The "Love Locked Down" Theater Project was written and produced by Rachel Satiafa (Danita Green) who is a mentor and artist partner with Peace Culture Club. The play captures an unseen reality for many families and individuals affected by America's "Prison Culture". Through the art and drama Danita facilitates a powerful conversation around the pain suffered by the families of those imprisoned. The production challenges our social norms and the ideas surrounding America's prison industrial complex. We want to rethink the current approach to crime and punishment as a nation. This mindful piece is a great start.
